Systemic modernization of specialized education, digitalization of educational processes, formation of models for attracting talent and strengthening of the material base – such priorities are outlined in the Concept for training personnel for the transport complex until 2035, approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The document provides for the development of new educational programs focused on solving promising scientific and technical problems of the transport industry, expanding academic student mobility, introducing modern assessment systems and forming a bank of best educational practices. Another important area of ​​work is strengthening cooperation with future employers of graduates of transport universities.

When teaching disciplines, a special emphasis will be placed on topical issues, including the complex transformation of transport and logistics infrastructures, human resource management, strategic management and intermodal transportation. At the same time, to improve the level of practical training, it is planned to update the training base, modernize educational laboratories and install cyber-physical simulators using augmented reality technologies.

Individual educational trajectories and special career development systems will be available to those who have chosen a specialty in the field of transport. Also, events are planned to popularize educational products. It is, in particular, about the formation of a competence center according to the WorldSkills Russia standards and the opening of children’s transport technology parks.

On the digitalization track, it is announced that the use of artificial intelligence, distributed computing and big data, which are of great practical importance for the development of modern transport infrastructure, are included in the educational and scientific agenda.

Implementation of the concept will help maintain the competitiveness of Russian education in the field of transport, will help provide the industry with highly qualified specialists and create an environment that is attractive for young talents.
