In preparation for the Army-2021 Medical Relay competition, training was held with servicemen of the medical units of the Caspian Flotilla Marine Corps (CFL) to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield.

According to the plan of the exercise, during the clash, the military personnel of the vanguard of the battalion tactical group received injuries of varying severity.

Military medics quickly organized an evacuation using armored medical vehicles BMM-80. Also, in the course of practical actions, the servicemen used special RS-05 backpacks, designed for providing first aid in the field.

The transfer of the wounded was carried out on transport-immobilizing mattresses, allowing to ensure absolute immobility of a person with injuries of the spine, pelvic bones, upper and lower extremities, as well as to move the victim in an upright and inclined position.

Compliance with the standards for the imposition of a tourniquet, a fixing bandage and an improvised splint from improvised materials was carried out both on conditionally injured military personnel and on specialized dummies, which completely simulate any wounds that a person may receive during a combat operation.

In total, about 100 military doctors of the CFL took part in the training events, about 10 units of special, medical and military equipment were involved.
