More than 2,000 servicemen of the Air Defense Forces of the Eastern Military District (VVO) arrived at the Telemba training ground to conduct planned exercises with a live firing stage.

After the placement and equipment of training sites, anti-aircraft units began training in the search, classification and tracking of air targets in order to obtain admission to live fire.

As part of the exercise, anti-aircraft gunners will have to carry out practical missile launches from the S-300 Favorit, Osa, Tor-M2U, Buk, and Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile systems. For the first time, the exercises will be attended by the calculations of the S-300V4 off-road air defense system on a caterpillar track.

To create a target environment, it is planned to launch simulated air targets, in particular, small-sized targets such as “Saman”, “Kaban”, “Strizh”.

The first combat training missile firing will take place in March this year.

The event involved about 500 units of military special equipment.
