UNARMIA has joined the Runway federal project, which aims to help children without parents choose a profession, pass the exam and enter the best universities in the country.
According to the organizers, hundreds of children will be provided with the Runway. These are school graduates from 11 regions: Krasnodar Territory, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Belgorod, Rostov, Sverdlovsk Regions. And also – Sevastopol and the Republic of Buryatia. 15 regional and 8 federal higher educational institutions have already joined the project. Among them – the Moscow State Technical University. Bauman, RSSU, Moscow State Law Academy, Moscow State Pedagogical University, and St. Petersburg State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology – from hundreds of the most prestigious universities in the world. They organize distance classes during which participants can prepare for the entrance exams. In addition to training the USE, the program includes a series of career guidance meetings and motivational lectures from representatives of partner companies, as well as excursions to the offices of well-known brands.
The competition has three stages: vocational guidance, testing and assignment of mentors. The most talented children will have access to a special training program for the unified state examination, a curator from the university, and most importantly – a chance to develop their abilities and be a competitive applicant. They will also solve the problem with accommodation, even in the absence of a hostel at the educational institution. The mentors will continue to accompany the children in their future adult life.
It is important that there will be no winners or losers in the project. The guys who did not go to the federal level will definitely be supported at the regional level.
According to the children’s ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova, systematic work has begun. This is the task, that children’s request, to which it was very important to find answers. The Commissioner for Children’s Rights initiated the adoption of a law introducing unlimited quotas for the right to receive secondary special and higher education for children without parents. The initiative was supported by the Ministry of Education.
