New fairs appear in different parts of the city under the My District program.

A new year-round fair has opened in Brateev. It is located in the most visited place in the district – at the exit from the Alma-Atinskaya metro station.

“We continue to create new regional fairs. Do you remember the rather primitive fairs that were several years ago? We were looking for forms, how to make modern shopping facilities out of them, which would be filled with good quality goods and work around the clock within walking distance. We started with one or two. Now 40 such markets have already been built in the city, 20 more will be built this year. Almost half of Moscow’s districts will have such wonderful venues. Many of them have amazing towns for holding events, festivals, and sports facilities nearby. In general, the cluster is made in such a way that it is well-organized and comfortable for those who walk nearby, come here, buy goods or have a rest. In general, this, in fact, is a mini-center of the district. I hope that Muscovites will like this form and will develop further, ”Sergei Sobyanin said while visiting the fair.

According to the Mayor of Moscow, year-round fairs, as far as possible under current conditions, play the role of community centers in their districts. Festivals are temporarily not held, but skating rinks with artificial ice were opened next to the fairs this winter.

The non-capital trade fair pavilion in the merchant style is designed for 30 trading places, 11 of them are for the sale of vegetables and fruits, 10 – meat and dairy products, three – fish and seafood, six – confectionery, groceries and dried fruits. There is also a playground for a small cafe. The total area of the pavilion is 424 square meters.

The pavilion is assembled from pre-fabricated structures and equipped with heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, as well as refrigeration equipment. If necessary, the pavilion can be quickly disassembled and used for other urban projects.

The year-round fair is open from 09:00 to 20:00 six days a week (Monday is a cleaning day).

Manufacturers from Moscow, Moscow, Vladimir, Vologda, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Rostov, Ryazan, Tambov regions, the Chuvash Republic, as well as from Armenia offer their products at the new site.

There is an artificial ice rink next to the fair, which will become a rollerdrome in summer.

The site quickly gained popularity and became one of the most popular places for residents of Brateyev: 600-650 people visit it daily.

“There was a big discussion about what to do at this place – to preserve and equip a shopping center or a fair in this form. As far as I understand, the majority of residents were in favor of such a farmer’s fair, a festival town. I think that this is no worse than a shopping center, especially since there are a lot of them in the district, ”added Sergei Sobyanin.

Since 2016, 40 year-round fairs have been organized in different parts of the capital. This year it is planned to open about 20 more retail facilities of this format. During the COVID-19 pandemic, fairs continued to work, providing Muscovites with the necessary products.

Artificial ice skating rinks operate on the territory of 13 fairs, as well as skate rental points. All employees and guests comply with the necessary epidemiological safety measures.
