Doctors of the Southern Military District (YuVO) in Abkhazia continue to receive patients in a mobile multidisciplinary hospital deployed in Sukhum for patients with coronavirus infection.

“The total number of patients with coronavirus infection and the dynamics of daily admitted patients are declining,” said Abdulmedjit Magomedov, head of the mobile multidisciplinary hospital.

Since October 20, 2020, the specialists of the medical service of the Southern Military District have accepted about 500 patients for inpatient treatment for a complex of medical and diagnostic measures.

Currently, more than 20 patients with COVID-19 are in the hospital under the constant supervision of Russian military doctors.

During the specified period, more than 3 thousand residents of the Republic of Abkhazia received outpatient consultations in a mobile multidisciplinary hospital.

Russian military doctors on the territory of the hospital deployed in Sukhum are additionally conducting PCR diagnostics of analyzes delivered from the city laboratories of Abkhazia. During the period of work in the laboratory of the field hospital, 5045 tests were carried out.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, at the request of the Republic of Abkhazia, has deployed a mobile multidisciplinary hospital with 100 beds in order to increase the bed capacity and provide medical care to patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection in the republic.

The Mobile General Hospital is a field medical unit dedicated to the inpatient treatment of COVID-19 patients.

To carry out medical and diagnostic measures, the hospital is equipped with artificial lung ventilation devices, monitors for intensive observation of patients, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.
