The crews of the Mi-24 “Krokodil” attack helicopters and the Mi-8AMTSh “Terminator” transport and assault helicopters of the Army Aviation Unit of the Eastern Military District (VVO) stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory performed flight missions at extremely low altitudes as part of training flights.

The servicemen improved the skills of piloting combat vehicles in the altitude range from 10 to 500 meters above the ground in difficult meteorological conditions, including at night.

During training flights, military pilots performed actions to covertly move and bypass air defense (air defense) means of a simulated enemy, taking into account the peculiarities of the terrain.

Also, the crews and units of ground services worked out the procedure for preparing for the transfer of aviation equipment to alternate aerodromes.

Up to 10 helicopters were involved in training flights, and more than 100 military personnel from among the flight, engineering and technical personnel, and the flight support and control group were involved.
