203 949 Muscovites took part in the voting.

Project participants “Active citizen” spoke about the restoration of the Northern River Station. A total of 203,949 people voted. The majority – 60.09 percent – rated the work as excellent.

According to one percent of the participants, the work was done well, but there is something to pay attention to. For example, “active citizens” suggested increasing the number of street cafes, bike paths, and shops. 0.8 percent of citizens supplemented their answers with comments, writing that it is necessary to adjust the brightness of the facade backlight at night. 38.11 percent of “active citizens” found it difficult to answer, since they had not yet been at the station.

Muscovites were also offered to evaluate the improvement of the park adjacent to the river station. The highest rating was given by 59.79 percent of voters. One percent of those who voted liked the improvement of the park, but the voters suggested diversifying the playgrounds, increasing the number of gazebos and toilets. Another part of the participants – less than one percent – chose the answer “I didn’t like everything”. They believe that the park should be supplemented with playgrounds and more trees. 38.45 percent of respondents found it difficult to answer because they have not yet visited the recreation area.

The Northern River Terminal opened in September 2020 after a major restoration. Experts not only restored the appearance of the building, but also returned it to the original function of the river station – to receive and send ships. Main directions of navigation – St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod and a dozen other cities. The sculptures “Waterway” and “Sport” were repaired in the park, as well as the fence along the Leningradskoe highway and two historical fountains were recreated almost from scratch, 11 children’s and sports grounds were equipped, a stream was created on the embankment, imitating the Moscow Canal. 17 berths were overhauled.

The Active Citizen project for online voting on urban development issues appeared in 2014. More than 4.8 million people have joined him, almost two million of which in 2020. Participants determine which streets, courtyards and park areas need to be improved, how city polyclinics, libraries, multifunctional centers should operate, and also choose events for festivals and celebrations. Muscovites have already taken part in more than 4.8 thousand votes, more than 153 million opinions have been collected.

The decisions taken by the majority of votes are necessarily implemented in the city. What has changed or appeared thanks to them, you can look at online map – more than 1.6 thousand objects have already been applied there.

In the heading “Pulse of the Capital”, the changes that have taken place in Moscow can be assessed in a game format. For example, using emoji emoticons to vote for the comfort of new trains in the subway, the convenience of paying for utility bills, and much more. Also at the end of last year it became possible to send the points accumulated in the project to charity.
