The developed means of engineering weapons meet modern requirements, in particular, work continues on the creation of engineering multifunctional robotic complexes: demining of the heavy class IMRTK-RT and assault and clearing of the IMRTK-ShR.

To replace the outdated tank bridgelayers, work is underway to create an MTU-2020 tank bridgelayer based on the nodes, assemblies and systems of the T-72B3 and T-90A tanks. In contrast to the bridgelayers who are supplying the troops, the carrying capacity of the new bridge has been increased to 60 tons.

A heavy mechanized bridge TMM-7 with an increased length of the bridge structure is being developed. The new bridge opening scheme will reduce the equipment time for bridge crossings by about 1.5 times.

The development of new simulators for engineering weapons is continuing, which are full-scale dynamic simulators that provide training and training of vehicle crews in driving and actions when performing engineering tasks in a classroom. These are simulators for the new BMK-MO towing and motor boats, MTU-72 tank-laying boats, PMM-2M ferry bridge vehicles and the UBIM universal armored engineering vehicle.
