Motorists are urged to refrain from traveling by private transport and not to interfere with the work of municipal vehicles.

Over the entire length of the Moscow Ring Road, more than 40 heating and power points for drivers will appear. Mobile toilet cabins will be installed near them. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

“Due to unfavorable weather conditions and the projected temperature drop to minus 27 degrees, on behalf of the Moscow Mayor, heating points and field kitchens will be organized along the entire length of the Moscow Ring Road to provide drivers with free hot meals,” he said.

Pyotr Biryukov also urged the townspeople to refrain from traveling by private transport and not to interfere with the work of the columns of municipal vehicles. At the same time, tractors continue to be on duty at the Moscow Ring Road and in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas, which provide assistance to truck drivers.

City services clean streets, roads, sidewalks and courtyards around the clock, carry out a continuous mechanized sweeping of the roadway. During daylight hours, snow is also cleaned from roofs and protruding elements of buildings. Particular attention is paid to public transport stops – manual cleaning teams are assigned to them around the clock.

On February 12, 12 thousand employees of engineering companies with their special equipment were additionally involved in snow removal: GBU “Gormost”, State Unitary Enterprise “Mosvodostok”, JSC “Moskollektor”, JSC “OEK”, JSC “Mosgaz” and others. They are involved in cleaning the crossings and the road network.

Snow is taken to snow-melting stations or special temporary storage sites located in industrial zones away from residential buildings.
