Now the historical burial site looks like almost a century ago.

In Moscow, work has been completed to preserve the grave of the Russian merchant Alexei Bakhrushin. The burial is located on the territory of the Vagankovskoye cemetery at the address: Sergei Makeev Street, 15 and has the status of a cultural heritage site of regional significance. The work was carried out by order and under the control of the capital Department of Cultural Heritage

February 13 marks the 156th anniversary of the birth of A.A. Bakhrushin – hereditary honorary citizen of Moscow, merchant, industrialist, philanthropist, honorary member of the Imperial Academy of Sciences, as well as the founder of the State Central Theater Museum, which bears his name.

“The restorers carried out dry cleaning of the surface of the monument at the grave of Alexei Bakhrushin from dirt, carefully washed it with water, eliminated cracks, repaired the seams, treated everything with protective compounds. In addition, the experts put the flower garden in order. The Moscow City Heritage Agency has officially accepted the result of the restoration work.
