The three best projects are aimed at developing tourism in Russia.

Three projects that won the competition “Masters of Hospitality” in 2020 were selected to be accompanied and supported by the autonomous non-profit organization “Project Office for the Development of Tourism and Hospitality of Moscow”. These projects and how they appeared were told by their authors.

At the end of October 2020 in Moscow at the site of pavilion 38 “Business. Technograd “at VDNH hosted the final of the first season of the” Masters of Hospitality “competition. This is a joint project of the presidential platform “Russia – a country of opportunities” and the National Union of the Hospitality Industry (OSIG), which was co-organized by the Moscow City Tourism Committee.

The purpose of the competition is to find those who could develop the country’s tourism industry, form new tourism traditions, improve service and hospitality standards, as well as the prestige of professions in the tourism sector. In the first season, over 20 thousand applications from 85 regions of the country were submitted for the competition. The final was 200 participants, whose projects in the hospitality industry were recognized as the best.

Based on the results of the final, the ANO Project Office for the Development of Tourism and Hospitality of Moscow chose three projects aimed at the development of oncoming tourist flows between Moscow and other regions of Russia.

Well-deserved rest

The project of the Muscovite Elena Aliyeva “Deserved Rest” helps to develop tourism for the older generation and prolong active longevity.

“Deserved Rest” is short-term trips for elderly people in the company of their peers. Such a vacation is somewhat reminiscent of a children’s health camp: collective day planning, creative activities, master classes, physical education and sports, and much more. The rest is organized in several directions.

“These are thematic programs like Epiphany Bathing, and exchange trips, when first our group leaves for the region, and then we receive people from this region in Moscow. There are also real expeditions. For example, recently we crossed Lake Baikal on the ice. I think that every year more and more people of the older generation will join us. Moreover, we receive both administrative and informational support from the organizers of the competition. This gives us the opportunity to develop and move forward, ”said Elena Aliyeva.

According to her, the best motto of the project “Deserved Rest” can be the words of one of its participants, who after a trip to the capital said: “They say: see Paris and die. And I will say: “To see Moscow and live for many, many years.”

A completely new format of excursions was proposed for the competition by Vladimir Vershinin from Syzran. Vladimir works in one of the taxi aggregators, is engaged in logistics. And he came up with the idea for the competition several years ago while on a business trip.

The stages of the project include the preparation of a training and certification program for driver guides, the development of routes, including for audio guides, and the scaling of the tariff by region. Thus, tourists will be able to get a completely new format of excursions.

“It’s very convenient and time-saving. After all, no one will answer you at a travel agency at night, and a tourist taxi will arrive in 5-10 minutes. In addition, the issue of luggage is being resolved, which can be simply loaded into the trunk, ”notes Vershinin.

Tickets to all museums in the country – in one service

Anisia Evdokimova from St. Petersburg won the competition with the project “Biletarium – a marketplace for Russian museums”.

Her project Biletarium is a platform where you can buy museum tickets, use audio guides and other excursion services. In other words, in a few clicks the user receives all the necessary services to visit the museum sites.

“Now the topic of tourism recovery is very relevant, and more and more high technologies are coming into the industry. The peculiarity of our marketplace is that it is focused not only on ordinary tourists, but also on tour operators, including foreign ones. Since this is a unique digital project in the field of tourism, I did not even doubt that it should be presented at the competition, “says Anisia.

The project received the support of the Moscow City Tourism Committee and has already been implemented in a number of activities of the Project Office for the Development of Moscow Tourism and Hospitality.

“With the assistance of the chairman of the Moscow Committee for Tourism, meetings were organized with a number of specialists who significantly contributed to the growth of the marketplace. Personally, I gained invaluable management experience, talked with professionals from different parts of the country. I am sure that every year the number of hospitality masters in Russia will only grow, ”noted Evdokimova.

Currently, 50 museums in Moscow and St. Petersburg are ready to join Anisia’s project. A number of museums in other regions of the country, according to her, also showed interest and readiness to cooperate.
