In the suburbs of Moscow, at the Golovenki training ground, servicemen of the anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Kantemirovskaya tank division of the Guards Tank Red Banner Army of the Western Military District were trained in driving Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems.
The regiment’s servicemen had to travel more than 30 kilometers and overcome about 30 natural and artificial obstacles. Driver mechanics worked through narrow, high-speed, snow-covered and off-road sections of the terrain. One of the most difficult obstacles was the track bridge and anti-tank ditch. With the help of the chiefs of the crews, who corrected the movement of heavy tracked vehicles from the outside, the entire column of the air defense missile system was able to pass obstacles.
In total, over 20 units of weapons, military and special equipment of a separate anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Kantemirovskaya tank division of the Guards Tank Army took part in the training.
The Tarnopolsky Guards Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the Kantemirovskaya Tank Division of the Guards Tank Red Banner Army of the Western Military District, stationed in the city of Naro-Fominsk in the Moscow Region, was recognized as the best air defense unit of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
During 2020, the regiment under the command of Colonel Rinat Shainurov repeatedly took part in major tactical exercises. The servicemen of the regiment demonstrated their professionalism at the highest level and were noted by the command in carrying out combat training missions.
