At the military training ground in the Pechenga District of the Murmansk Region, the servicemen of the reconnaissance units of the Northern Fleet Marine Brigade have worked out tactics of fighting illegal armed groups in the Far North and the Arctic.

During the exercise, the Marines carried out a snowmobile fire raid on the conditional terrorist base camp. The event involved a group of reconnaissance units of the Marine Corps with standard weapons, camouflage and equipment.

The reconnaissance group of the marines, skillfully using terrain folds and camouflage, searched for the camp, determined the coordinates of its deployment location and the security regime. Then the scouts carried out a raid on an armed group of a mock enemy to capture the “tongue”, worked out the guidance of strike aircraft and artillery at the camp and cleared the territory.

The marines carried out a fire raid on the mock terrorists on the A-1 snowmobiles, which entered service with the Marine Corps brigade several years ago. They have proven themselves well when used in the harsh conditions of the Far North and the Arctic.

These snowmobiles are used by the marines and motorized riflemen of the Northern Fleet during reconnaissance and patrol operations, raid and search and rescue operations in winter in deep snow and low air temperatures.
