From 15 to 21 February, the resource center will hold a week of good deeds. Festive events, thematic quizzes, interactive events and charity events await Muscovites.

The resource center “Mosvolonter” is the largest organization supporting the volunteer movement in Russia – on February 21, 2021, it will celebrate seven years since its foundation.

Within the framework of the festive program “Seven Years of Good Deeds”, the employees of the resource center, together with partner organizations and the volunteer community of the capital, will conduct thematic activities, quizzes, interactive events and charity events. Muscovites will be able to help collect animal feed, visit an inclusive workshop, test their knowledge of volunteering during the Good Dictation, and much more.

The resource center team is always ready to support volunteers, inspire and help implement ideas. Mosvolonter’s birthday is a long-awaited holiday for the city’s volunteers, because they can say thank you to the people who coordinate and maintain the rhythm of life of the entire volunteer community every day. It is thanks to them that Moscow can be sure: it will not be left without help and care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, ”she said.

Good holiday for everyone: volunteer promotions, quotes and gifts

Mosvolonter’s festive week kicks off on February 15 with the Good Dictation campaign. This is the first time this kind of testing on the topic of volunteering will take place in the capital. You can try your hand and take part online in the official group of the resource center on the social network “In contact with”at 13:00, 17:00 and 20:00. A link to a form will be placed under the post with the testing video, where participants can enter their answers and provide contact information.

On February 17, specialists of the resource center, representatives of friendly organizations and volunteers will be able to visit the inclusive workshop “Chest”. They will get acquainted with the wards of the workshop and together will take part in a modeling lesson. These creative encounters help special people better socialize and make new friends. The meeting will be held in compliance with all the necessary requirements for epidemiological safety.

As part of the Good Breakfast business meeting on February 18, representatives of the business community, together with the staff of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of the city of Moscow, will sum up the results of 2020 in the field of corporate social responsibility, discuss plans for the current year and the possibility of participating in the We Are Together club. In addition, the presentation of the first program for the development of corporate volunteering and discussion of new formats and topical issues in this area will take place.

On February 20, the thematic interactive and entertaining online quiz “Seven Years of Good Deeds” will take place. During the broadcast, participants will go through seven stages of intellectual tasks in the format of text, music, photo and video questions. Each round is based on the official theme of the year in Russia for seven years – the Year of culture, literature, cinema, ecology, volunteer, theater, memory and glory. To join the quiz, you need register… To participate, you need to assemble a team of seven people. Play partners can be found in group discussions “Mosvolontera”in the social network “VKontakte”. In addition, the organizers will form teams from those who submit a single application for participation. Those of them who will take first, second, third and seventh places will receive prizes.

Good deeds week: help animals, children and the environment

As part of the birthday program, Mosvolonter will also hold a series of charity events, in which all residents of the city will be able to take part from 15 to 21 February.

Caring citizens can help homeless animals in city shelters as part of the “Feed the Dog” campaign. To do this, you need to bring food, toys, warm blankets and nappies to the resource center “Mosvolonter” at the address: Tverskaya street, house 9. You can leave treats and things necessary for animals in special boxes. The “Feed the Dog” campaign is held by Mosvolonter on a regular basis. In 2020, thanks to the help of sympathetic citizens, over two tons of feed were collected and handed over to shelters.

Also “Mosvolonter” for the first time will hold the action “Sated Hare”. To prevent the eared from starving in the cold season, you can bring food for them to the resource center: hay, oats, carrots, apples, lettuce and cabbage stumps. You can leave treats in a special box with a picture of a hare. On February 21, the employees of the resource center will transfer all the collected supplies to the Izmailovo Natural and Historical Park, and will also help with cleaning the feeders.

One of the components of the daily useful program will also be the “Green Office” campaign. Muscovites can bring waste paper, pens, clothes, plastic caps and batteries and leave them in eco boxes installed in the lobby of the Mosvolonter resource center. Recyclable materials are transported directly from the office to the partners of the center, where they are sorted and transferred for processing.

In addition, Muscovites can join the “Box of Courage” campaign, which is a collection of gifts for young patients in city hospitals. Creativity kits, dolls, cars, puzzles will help kids fight fear in the treatment room. All toys must be new, as children have weakened immunity in hospitals. You can bring constructors, small Lego sets, board games, sketchbooks, pencils, paints, felt-tip pens, small balls and rattles.

Today, more than 120 thousand volunteers are registered in the database of the Mosvolonter resource center. Over 1,300 organizations are partners of the resource center. More than 560 thousand Muscovites have already been involved in volunteer activities.

With the support of the Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of the city of Moscow, in the spring of 2020, the Moscow headquarters of the #WeVot Together campaign was opened on the basis of Mosvolonter. Thanks to the initiative of the capital’s volunteers, people who were forced to self-isolate received timely assistance. More than 45 thousand applications were completed by volunteers. The action continues today. Every day, caring helpers deliver food, water, medicine and basic necessities to Muscovites.
