The third batch of vaccine against the new coronavirus infection in the amount of 5125 doses of the Gam-COVID-Vak (Sputnik-V) vaccine was delivered to the 412th Military Hospital of the Southern Military District (YuVO) in Vladikavkaz and its branches stationed in Budennovsk, Buinaksk , Mozdok and Grozny.

The vaccine is intended for servicemen of formations and military units of the Southern Military District, stationed in the republics of North Ossetia, Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, South Ossetia, as well as in the Stavropol Territory. All categories of military personnel can be vaccinated, including officers, contract soldiers, conscripts and civilian personnel.

Also, family members of military personnel of the Southern Military District, teachers, educators, medical workers and command personnel of the North Caucasian Suvorov Military School will receive the vaccine.

Both components of the Sputnik-V vaccine have already been received by more than 3.5 thousand servicemen of the 58th Army of the Southern Military District. Vaccination is carried out voluntarily on the basis of the written consent of the military and civilian personnel.

The drug was transported by the branches of the military hospital of the Southern Military District in compliance with the requirements of the “cold chain” to ensure the safety of the properties of the vaccine, the effectiveness and safety of the immunization.

In accordance with the sanitary rules, in order to preserve all the useful and preventive characteristics of drugs, a set of measures was organized to ensure the optimal temperature during storage and transportation of drugs. Temperature control was ensured at all stages of vaccine transportation: from its preparation to delivery to a specific patient, which is the most important step in guaranteeing the safety of the preparations.

All military medical organizations operating on the basis of military hospitals and polyclinics of the Southern Military District are equipped with specialized refrigeration and other certified equipment necessary for storing the vaccine. Qualified specialists constantly monitor the compliance with the storage and transportation conditions of drugs, use special control systems.
