Utilities continue to address the effects of the abnormal snowfall.

Public utilities continue to eliminate the consequences of anomalous snowfall around the clock, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for housing and communal services and improvement Petr Biryukov.

“We have mobilized all our forces to cleanse the city after a heavy snowfall, the services of the municipal services complex work around the clock. Our task is to completely clear the territory of the city from snow in the next four days, ”he said.

In two days, 35 centimeters of snow fell in the capital, and more in some areas.

The city is being removed by 116 thousand employees of the municipal economy complex, of which 80 thousand people work manually, and 15 thousand pieces of equipment.

Since the beginning of the snowfall, about 10 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from Moscow streets.

There are 56 stationary and 38 mobile snow-melting stations operating around the clock with maximum load.
