Servicemen – Buddhists of the formations and military units of the combined-arms association, stationed in the Republic of Buryatia, celebrated the “Holiday of the White Month” or “Sagaalgan”.

During the days of the celebration, the faithful servicemen visited the datsans, took part in various rituals and prayers.

In addition, in the canteens of military units and formations for conscripts on the day of the celebration of the “White Month”, a special menu has been prepared for believing servicemen, consisting exclusively of white food, which Buddhists traditionally prepare at Sagaalgan.

This year, the holiday took place in mid-February. In total, more than 9 thousand servicemen took part in the celebration of “Sagaalgan”.

“Sagaalgan” – “White Month Holiday” (Eastern New Year), the date of this holiday is unstable, it depends on the lunisolar calendar.
