Military Band of the Military Academy of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense named after Marshal of the Soviet Union S.K. Tymoshenko took part in the opening of an exhibition dedicated to the 310th anniversary of the creation of Russian military bands.

Before the start, military musicians performed several orchestral works from various historical eras. The old Russian march of the Preobrazhensky regiment, the march “Parade” by S. Chernetsky, the old Russian waltz “On the Hills of Manchuria” by I. Shatrov and the march “Farewell of a Slav” by V. Agapkin were performed.

After the official opening ceremony of the exhibition, the military conductor, candidate of cultural studies, honored worker of culture of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant Colonel Eduard Klein conducted an excursion for the first visitors.

The guests of the museum were presented with instruments of military bands of different eras, uniforms of military conductors and musicians, photographic documents, records, scores and awards of musicians of the Kostroma garrison.

The exhibition will run until mid-May 2021 in the military history department of the Kostroma State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve.
