The military commissar of the Verkhneuslonsky district of Tatarstan, Rashit Faskhutdinov, together with representatives of the administration and the Council of Veterans, congratulated the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Petrov Veniamin Petrovich on his 95th birthday.

Veniamin Petrov began his front line in a training camp. After completing the course of a young soldier, in December 1944, he was sent to the Caucasus, where until the end of the war he escorted Nazi prisoners.

“The soldier does not choose the road. It means that I was more needed there. Or maybe they just took care of us, boys who were barely eighteen. I was destined to return home where I started a family. Now I bring up my great-grandchildren and enjoy every day, ”says the veteran.

The guests listened to the veteran’s recollections, presented valuable gifts and wished him good health.
