Servicemen of the orchestra of the Krasnoselskaya motorized rifle brigade of the combined arms army of the Western Military District, stationed in the Leningrad Region, congratulated Natalia Ivanovna, a veteran of the armed conflict, on the 32nd anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan.

The servicemen performed a medley of songs from the Soviet stage, including the famous song “Hope”.

Natalya Ivanovna Ivanova performed her international duty in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan for 2.5 years. In December 1986, being an operating nurse at a maternity hospital in the city of Karakol, Kyrgyz Republic, Natalya herself asked the management to be transferred to the Kabul military hospital. The specifics of the hard work of the head nurse of the neurosurgical department had to be mastered during difficult days and sleepless nights. Thanks to the care and patience of Natalya Ivanovna, hundreds of Soviet soldiers managed to get back on their feet after being severely wounded and return home alive, to their families and friends.

In August 1988, Nurse Ivanova was awarded the medals “For Labor Merit” and “10 Years of the Saur Revolution”, dedicated to the formation of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.
