The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring Vladimir Glotov, Head of the Public Relations Center of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Ilyas Ermolaev, his deputy Alexandra Samarina and analyst of the center Elena Oludina. The exhibition was organized by the staff of the Public Relations Center of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.

The exhibition displays about 100 works: portraits, landscapes, everyday sketches, still lifes, abstractions. Among them are works of authorship and replicas of famous paintings made in various techniques: acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, graphics. The paintings are located on the central staircase from the first to the seventh floor.

Opening the exhibition, Vladimir Glotov pointed out that many of those present, like himself, first learned about such an experience of art therapy for convicts, which allows them to express their feelings on canvas. In his opinion, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia is moving in the right direction, paying great attention to the resocialization of convicts.

In turn, Ilyas Ermolaev expressed gratitude to the leadership of Rosfinmonitoring for the opportunity to popularize the works of convicts and drew attention to the fact that the paintings were not painted by professional artists, but by those who took up the brush in places of serving sentences. According to the head of the Public Relations Center of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the exhibition of paintings was conceived as an experiment to assess the influence of creativity on the process of correcting convicts, and at the moment this experiment is showing good results.

Alexandra Samarina noted that as part of the work on the exhibition of the DSP of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, two painting master classes were organized for convicts serving sentences in correctional institutions of the penal system, with the participation of famous Russian artists.

At the end of the event, Vladimir Glotov presented the staff of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia with a letter of gratitude from the management of Rosfinmonitoring.
