The Russian government has prepared a new package of support for small and medium-sized businesses, which includes five measures. This was reported by the Izvestia newspaper with reference to the minutes of the meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov.

According to the newspaper, the package includes five types of support. Thus, it is planned to restart the program of lending for small, medium and large businesses “FOT 0”, which provided for loans at 0% in the first six months. Also, the Cabinet wants to further reduce the cost of soft loans for businesses through subsidies to banks.

“The condition for obtaining such a loan is an increase in personnel by 10% by December 2021 relative to the beginning of the year,” the message says.

In addition, among the measures, the cancellation of debts on taxes and insurance premiums for SMEs, which are the most difficult to recover from the pandemic, are among the measures. The list also includes: fixing the cadastral value of offices, retail outlets, catering and consumer services at the level of last year and a transitional regime for companies that can no longer use special conditions.

The publication notes that these support measures are classified as “considered possible to support”. The Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Service were instructed to work them out.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Maxim Reshetnikov said that, on behalf of the President, the Government, together with the business community, is working out additionaltargeted business support measures.
