In Kaliningrad, they began to vaccinate servicemen of the Baltic Fleet and cadets of the Kaliningrad branch of the VUNC of the Navy – participants in military parades and ceremonial processions on Victory Day against coronavirus infection with the first component of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.

The first to receive vaccinations are servicemen who will represent the Baltic Fleet at a military parade on Red Square in Moscow – servicemen of the Marine Corps and cadets of the Kaliningrad Naval University.

The setting of vaccinations is carried out on the basis of the consent of the vaccinated. After the injection of the drug for half an hour, all military personnel are under the supervision of doctors.

Vaccination of military personnel is carried out at points of permanent deployment in compliance with the necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures and a preliminary medical examination of personnel for the presence of contraindications to the drug.

To date, more than 7,000 military and medical personnel of the Baltic Fleet have received both components of the vaccine.

The vaccination of the first and second components of the servicemen of the Baltic Fleet, which will be held as part of foot and mechanized parade columns, is scheduled to be completed by March 1.
