A detachment of ships of the Russian Navy consisting of the frigate “Admiral Grigorovich”, the patrol ship “Dmitry Rogachev” and the rescue tugboat “SB-739” completed participation in the sea phase of the multinational naval exercise “AMAN-2021” (“AMAN-2021” ), held in the Arabian Sea from 15 to 16 February.
For two days, the crews of the ships of the countries participating in the naval maneuvers worked out the issues of interaction when repelling attacks of high-speed small targets, conducted training on joint maneuvering with the formation of marching orders, performed actions to receive cargo from the supply vessel on the move, and also practiced exercises to counter piracy with the execution of firing from various complexes of naval artillery weapons. Including – on surface targets such as “Killer Tomato” at a distance of about 5 kilometers.
In addition to the naval forces, naval aviation was actively involved in the AMAN-2021 exercise. Including the crew of the Ka-27PS helicopter of Naval Aviation and Air Defense of the Black Sea Fleet, based on board the frigate “Admiral Grigorovich”.
The multinational naval exercise “AMAN-2021”, in which representatives of the armed forces of 45 countries took part at the invitation of the Pakistani side, ended yesterday in the waters of the Arabian Sea.
The main objectives of the AMAN-2021 exercise were to strengthen and develop military cooperation between the countries participating in the maneuvers in the interests of security and stability at sea, as well as the exchange of experience between naval sailors in repelling the threats of maritime piracy in areas of intensive shipping and during search and rescue operations. …
The Aman-2021 naval exercise is non-aligned. All countries participating in the naval exercises took part in the exercise independently (at the invitation of the Pakistani side).
