Decree of February 13, 2021 No. 181

The experiment on product traceability will be extended until June 30, 2021. This resolution was signed by the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

This will allow business and regulatory authorities to better prepare for the launch of the National Traceability System (NTS), including the completion of software optimization.

NRS provides for control over consignments on the basis of documents, without the use of identification marks. Now such a system is being formed in all member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

In Russia, the traceability experiment started in the summer of 2019. During this time, we managed to establish the procedure for accounting for goods, hone the work of the information system, and organize interagency cooperation. To date, within the framework of the experiment, several groups of goods are controlled, including refrigerators, washing machines, electronic integrated circuits. The specific list of products is approved by the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The formation of the NRS will make it possible to reduce the volume of counterfeit goods, support bona fide entrepreneurs, and protect citizens from low-quality and potentially dangerous goods. Its launch in the EAEU format should ensure maximum transparency of trade flows, both in the territories of the member countries of the Union, and in the cross-border format.

The signed document changesGovernment Decree of June 25, 2019 No. 807.
