On February 18, the head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Yevgeny Zinichev and the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Boobek Azhikeev discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of emergency prevention and elimination.

EMERCOM of Russia continues to assist in the promotion of the joint project of the department and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies “Development of capacity for timely response to emergency situations at the local level in the Kyrgyz Republic.”

“The project is aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the Ministry of Emergencies of Kyrgyzstan. It provides for the supply of rescue equipment and equipment for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, the creation in Kyrgyzstan of warehouses of humanitarian goods intended for distribution among the population in the event of an emergency, as well as the training of specialists, ”E. Zinichev stressed.

During the meeting, they noted the active interaction of departments within the framework of the International Civil Defense Organization. State Secretary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Mambetov is currently the Chairman of the Executive Council.

The parties discussed issues of training Kyrgyz rescuers in educational institutions of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. Now 53 specialists are undergoing advanced training on their basis. In the near future, the issue of organizing courses for mine rescuers and divers for Kyrgyz specialists will also be worked out.

The head of the Russian department congratulated B. Azhikeev on the 30th anniversary of the Ministry of Emergencies of Kyrgyzstan and thanked him for cooperation. In turn, the Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan expressed gratitude to the Russian side for the support, technical and humanitarian assistance.

During the visit, the Kyrgyz side will study the experience of the EMERCOM of Russia in the field of preventive work and surveillance activities, get acquainted with the work and capabilities of the National Center for Crisis Management, the Noginsk Rescue Center, departmental research institutes and educational institutions, as well as the All-Russian Center for Disaster Medicine “Protection “.
