The 51st Russian Indoor Athletics Championships continues in the KLFK CSKA track and field arena. During the second day of competition, the athletes of the army club won six awards – three gold and three silver.

Ensign Alena Gordeeva (Bugakova) became the best in shot put. With the result of 17.33 m, Alena passed Ekaterina Burmistrova (16.87 m) and Snezhana Trofimets (16.55 m).

Warrant Officer Yekaterina Renzhina, with a score of 52.04 seconds, excelled in the 400 m race. Junior Sergeant Polina Miller finished second with a score of 52.12 seconds. Ekaterina Zorina closed the top three – 53.19 seconds.

The second among men result – 47.36 seconds – on 400 meters was shown by army player Artem Araslanov. Egor Filippov took the lead, ahead of the army athlete by 0.03 seconds. Kirill Lyamin climbed to the third step of the podium with 47.49 seconds.

Ensign Timur Morgunov became the best in pole vaulting in the national championship. Having overcome the bar at a height of 5.55 m, he again climbed to the top step of the podium. The second place was taken by Viktor Pintusov, who took the same height, but spent more attempts on it. Mikhail Shmykov became the third with a result of 5.45 m.

In the high jump sector, the second result of 2.28 m was shown by Ensign Daniil Tsyplakov. The victory was won by Mikhail Akimenko (2.31 m), and Nikita Kurbanov (2.24 m) won the bronze medal.
