Servicemen of the flight units of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Northern Fleet have begun paratrooper training. It is annually passed and improved by the servicemen of the rescue parachute groups and the flight crew. They begin by studying theory and then take credit for practical exercises, including those for practicing skydiving on ground simulators.

The training program provides for a detailed study of the parachute system and methods of its fitting, methods of packing and the formation of practical skills of action and behavior in non-standard situations.

Upon completion of theoretical training, it is envisaged to perform parachute jumps in various heights, including exercises with a delayed canopy opening.

In providing the practical part of the airborne training course, the forces and means of a separate helicopter squadron of the Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Northern Fleet are involved.

In total, more than 150 pilots and air rescuers of the Northern Fleet take part in the activities of preparation for parachute jumping.
