In the Nizhny Novgorod region, at the first stage of the renovation program, it is planned to relocate more than four thousand people. This was announced by the head of the capital Department of Urban Development Policy Sergey Levkin.

“It is planned to provide new apartments for 4.3 thousand residents from 27 houses in the Nizhegorodsky region until 2024. At the next stages of the renovation program, it is planned to relocate a total of more than 10 thousand people, ”said the head of the department.

Resettlement under the renovation program in the Nizhny Novgorod region began at the end of 2020. The first to move were residents of house 6 on Frezernaya street, house 2 on Basovskaya street and house 9 on Frezer highway. They were offered equivalent apartments in a new building located at Freser Highway, 7/2.

The renovation program in the Nizhegorodsky district included 92 houses. For its implementation, seven launch sites were selected: one new building already put into operation, Two houses are being built, project documentation is being developed for four more objects.

In addition, a planning project was developed and approved for the renovation quarters. “Residential development will be provided with social facilities, including a school for 600 students, an educational organization for 675 children (preschool and school), as well as a kindergarten for 275 children with a swimming pool and a polyclinic,” added Sergei Levkin.

The renovation program was approved in 2017. It included 5175 houses. The first million square meters of new housing have already been built, where more than 33 thousand residents of the capital have received apartments.
