Servicemen of the freelance salute division of the artillery unit of the Eastern Military District (VVO) and the Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) stationed in the Republic of Buryatia held a training session to prepare a festive salute.

Under the leadership of the chief of the army’s missile forces and artillery, the artillerymen worked out the coordination of the numbers of the crews of six D-30 howitzers and the calculations of two installations for launching salute shots. The training was attended by the most experienced military personnel, who were awarded the right to conduct a salute in the capital of the Republic of Buryatia.

The non-standard salute division of the VVO is equipped with new 2A85 fireworks installations based on the KamAZ truck. Each fireworks installation consists of six modules of various calibers – from 105 to 310 mm. Special software, which are equipped with fireworks installations, allows you to design and simulate a fireworks scenario, achieving an infinite variety of pictures, and to make the fireworks colorful and interesting.

Noise accompaniment of the salute with volleys from 122-mm D-30 howitzers is provided by a howitzer artillery battery from a guards air assault unit.

The festive fireworks in Ulan-Ude will take place on February 23 at 21:00 local time, over 300 Assol-type fireworks will be released into the sky of the capital of Buryatia.
