The Victory Museum has prepared an online program for the Defender of the Fatherland Day. The program includes a meeting with authors and performers of war songs, videos and excursions dedicated to the exploits of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Everyone will be able to join it at website museum.

At the concert of the “Wind of Victory” military song club, military compositions will be performed by veterans and combatants. You can also listen to patriotic songs during a concert as part of the Victory Cranes festival. They will be presented by experienced and novice artists.

Also on this day, the online cinema of the museum will show the film “They Fought for the Motherland.” The tape tells about the feat of ordinary soldiers, love for their native land, about the true price of victory.

A series of historical videos will also be posted on the site. Among them there will be a story about the T-27 tankette, which took part in battles back in the 1930s on Lake Khasan and the Khalkhin-Gol River, and in the first, most difficult year of the Great Patriotic War, served as a tractor and an infantry support tank.

From another video, users learn about Valentina Grizodubova, a brave pilot who commanded an air regiment during the war and personally flew about 200 sorties. For her courage and dedication, she was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union in 1938.

In addition, everyone is invited to free tours that will take place on February 23 on the Zoom platform. You can join them at 13:00 and 17:30. Participants will visit the Hall of Historical Truth, see the “Feat of the Army” exposition and the “Counteroffensive near Moscow” diorama. The guides will tell you about the heroes of the war and their selfless deeds.
