More than 28 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the streets and courtyards of the capital in a week, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Utilities and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

“During the week the city services worked in an intensive mode. The snow removal involved the maximum number of equipment and workers of public utilities, employees of the capital’s engineering companies. In a short time, we managed to remove a huge amount of snow from the streets. There were no disruptions in the movement of public transport and the functioning of the life support systems of the metropolis, ”he said.

All snow-rafting stations work around the clock and with maximum load.

Part of the snow is taken to temporary sites, after which it will be moved to snow-melting points.
