The construction of the new station will begin this year, and it is planned to open it in 2023.
Construction of the first heated ground station will begin on the Sokolnicheskaya metro line this year. This will be the Novomoskovskaya station, the project of which is being developed by engineers. For the comfort of passengers, it will be built using a fundamentally new technology.
“More ventilation equipment will be installed there, thereby increasing the supply of warm air. Additional insulation of the lobbies and the use of double-glazed windows on the track walls will help to minimize heat transfer and exclude further problems with operation, such as the formation of ice, ”said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction
An urban area will appear near the new station by 2025, where there will be 1.3 million square meters of housing and more than a million “squares” of non-residential buildings. “It is planned to start the movement of trains on the new section of the Sokolnicheskaya line by the end of 2023,” the deputy mayor said.
To make the station warm and place additional equipment there, the designers had to look for non-standard engineering solutions. They managed to fit the technique into the design of the station and not violate its architectural appearance.
“To solve this difficult task, we abandoned the classic ventilation chamber inside the station and placed all the overall equipment on the roof of the station complex. It was possible to link the branched engineering systems with each other and with the shell structure thanks to the use of BIM technologies. Even at the design stage, information modeling made it possible to detect and correct conflict points, as well as to organically combine communications with the architecture of the object, “said Anna Merkulova, General Director of the Mosproekt-3 group of companies.
According to her, the rearrangement made it possible to reduce the total area of the station. Thanks to her, “Novomoskovskaya” fit into the cramped conditions of development: it will be located along the Solntsevo – Butovo – Varshavskoye highway and will be squeezed by overpasses on both sides.
Construction of a new section of the red line is planned to begin this year. It should significantly improve transport services for the Novomoskovsk District and the Yuzhnoye Butovo District, where almost 70,000 people live and work today. In addition to them, the station will be used by residents of the new quarters of Kommunarka.
In total, eight metro stations have already been opened on the territory of the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas. In 2016, the Rumyantsevo and Salaryevo stations of the Sokolnicheskaya line began operating. In 2018, Rasskazovka and Govorovo of the Solntsevskaya line were opened, and in 2019 the stations Filatov Lug, Prokshino, Olkhovaya and Kommunarka of the Sokolnicheskaya line started operating.
