On Kamchatka, on Defender of the Fatherland Day, servicemen of the Troops and Forces in the North-East of Russia, the Submarine Forces of the Pacific Fleet, together with veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the Armed Forces, youth soldiers and students of educational institutions of the Kamchatka Territory will honor the memory of the soldiers who died in the battles for the freedom and independence of our Homeland.

The laying of wreaths and flowers will take place in Victory Park, Freedom Square, at the obelisk in memory of the Kuril landing party, at the obelisks to Heroes of the Soviet Union Pyotr Ilyichev and Nikolai Vilkov, at the monument to the crew of the L-16 submarine.

According to the established tradition, on the eve of the holiday, the servicemen of the Pacific Fleet formations stationed in Kamchatka held subbotniks, during which they put things in order on the monuments assigned to the military units to the fallen defenders of the Fatherland.

On February 23, wreaths and flowers will be laid to them.
