In the Northern Fleet, a training of rescue forces took place with the participation of the AS-34 manned underwater vehicle and its carrier vessel “Georgy Titov”. The event took place at the main fleet base – Severomorsk.

The AS-34 crew worked out the algorithm for preparing the underwater vehicle for sailing in the Kola Bay. Particular attention was paid to improving the actions of manipulator operators.

After unloading the AS-34 apparatus from the hold of the carrier vessel, it was launched. The crew of the deep-sea rescuer conducted a training session to control the vehicle on the surface. Submariners performed maneuvers in the water area of ​​the Kola Bay: moving in reverse and forward, changing course and speed using a cruise and lag propulsion system.

During the training, the crew of the AS-34 autonomous rescue underwater vehicle worked out interaction with the crew of the main command post of the rescue ship “Georgy Titov”, checked the communication equipment and followed the commands received from the ship’s control center.

Both military personnel and civilian personnel of the search and rescue operations department of the Northern Fleet were involved in the training activities.
