Within the framework of the Sretensky festival of Orthodox and secular youth, which takes place in the Yekaterinburg diocese, the squad of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders held the “Relay of Good Deeds”.

Young pathfinders collected books and donated them to the Kirovograd educational colony of the GUFSIN of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region. The gifts were received by the assistant to the head of the GUFSIN for work with believers, Priest Alexei Eliseev.

– Young people and adolescents are sent to an educational colony for committing serious crimes. For the rest of their lives, they will have to bear the heavy cross of repentance. But this does not mean that they are not entitled to a new path in life. There is always a choice and an opportunity to change oneself. We handed over the books to the children in prison and plan to soon meet with the children themselves, tell them how interesting and meaningful life can be. We believe in the best, – said Vsevolod Krivtsov, head of the BPS Russia Council.

The main tasks of the Sretensky Festival are to support and motivate the creative and social activity of young people, to open up new opportunities for self-realization, to exchange knowledge and experience, and more.
