About 100 units of anti-tank missile systems (ATGM) of the second generation “Fagot” entered service with the mountain motorized rifle unit of the Southern Military District (YuVO), stationed in Karachay-Cherkessia.

A portable anti-tank missile system with semi-automatic guidance is designed to search, observe and defeat stationary and moving targets at speeds up to 60 km / h. It is capable of destroying armored targets, as well as enemy helicopters and firing points at ranges up to 4 km. Thanks to the modification of the launcher, the complex can also be placed on the MT-LB.

The launcher is equipped with a thermal imager with a guidance range of up to 2500 m, the used rocket 9M113M “Konkurs” caliber 135 mm with a cumulative warhead has armor penetration up to 800 mm.

The military personnel of the Southern Military District will test the combat power of the new weapons in the near future at the Kobu-Bashi mountain range.
