Children will be told about promising transport specialties and current projects of the Russian University of Transport.

The Transport Saturdays project invites schoolchildren to a lecture that will be broadcast online from the WDC pavilion. Varvara Lazutkina, Head of the Department for New Products and Technologies of the Russian University of Transport, will talk about promising transport specialties and current projects of the university. Participants will be able to ask questions and learn more about the transport industry.

The meeting will take place on February 27 at 11:00. To participate, you must register on the website of the city educational project “Saturdays of the Moscow schoolboy”, after that a link to the private broadcast will be sent to your email.

Before the pandemic, the lectures of the Transport Saturdays project were held in the pavilion of the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD), which was opened on the square near the Kievsky railway station. Schoolchildren were told about the history and construction of the metro, electric buses and MCD. This year, during the restrictions due to the pandemic, it was decided to conduct lectures online.

WDC pavilion open daily from 09:00 to 21:00. Admission is free, but no more than 50 people can visit the site at the same time. Also, visitors must wear a mask and gloves. In the pavilion, you can see a full-size model of the Ivolga train and a router for building new alternative routes, as well as learn about routes of diameters, methods of fare payment and tariffs.
