With the help of grants won in the Moscow is a Good City competition, non-profit organizations can organize rehabilitation courses, additional classes for orphans, and training for homeless people.

“We highly appreciate the work of our colleagues from NGOs. Our close interaction allows us not only to help a person in solving his problem, but also to surround him with care and attention. Thanks to the cooperation of the city and NGOs, more than 40 thousand Muscovites will be able to receive the necessary social assistance in 2021. Among them are orphans, Muscovites in difficult life situations, people with disabilities and large families. This additional support became possible due to the grant competition for the non-profit organization “Moscow is a good city”. Through grant projects, NGOs will be able to organize rehabilitation courses, additional classes with tutors for orphans, teaching homeless people and many other good deeds that the city really needs, ”said Anastasia Rakova.

The Moscow Social Development Complex has developed a special project on the “Moscow is a good city” portal. It is dedicated to cooperation between the city and socially oriented non-profit organizations. On the site you can find information about the nearest NGO to your home, learn about projects and how to become a social volunteer.

An updated map has been published on the website of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population for this holiday “Social Navigator”… 130 non-profit organizations were added to the new version, including clubs for the hearing impaired, inclusive and teen clubs. The list of social services was supplemented by creative and sports activities for children and adults, social assistance to families and much more. In total, the Social Navigator service allows you to find more than 160 services in 23 categories and 770 addresses in Moscow.

Annually Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Moscow Population holds a competition for NGOs with a grant fund of 400 million rubles. This allows organizations to find funding for social projects. Also last year, the department transferred 50 new premisesfor the work of NGOs. They can hold creative classes for people with disabilities, public consultations, trainings and master classes.
