It will allow residents of Troitsk to go directly to Varshavskoe shosse and get to the metro.
The construction of a road in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas connecting Kaluzhskoye and Varshavskoye highways is scheduled to be completed next year. Now it is 60 percent ready. This was told by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.
“We continue to actively form the transport framework of New Moscow. The new road, which will connect Kaluzhskoe and Varshavskoe highways, is being built in two stages: in 2019, the first section from Kaluzhskoe highway to the village of Yakovlevo was opened, the second section – to Varshavskoe highway – we plan to open in 2022, “he explained.
The length of the section under construction will be 12 kilometers. An overpass will be erected there across the MCD-2 tracks, an overpass on the Varshavskoye Highway, as well as a bridge across the Desna River.
“The new four-lane road will allow residents of Troitsk to go directly to Varshavskoe Shosse and get to the Ostafyevo MCD-2 platform,” said Andrei Bochkarev.
Since joining the capital, more than 250 kilometers of highways have been built in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas. In 2021, the construction of eight more road transport infrastructure facilities will be completed (almost 25 kilometers of roads). This will relieve existing highways, significantly reduce travel time, increase transport accessibility of settlements and metro stations, and expand the public transport network.
By 2023, 77 kilometers of highways are planned to be built in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas under the Moscow Targeted Investment Program.
