Car owners and specialized businesses will have time to properly prepare for the entry into force of the new inspection rules. Such an opportunity is provided by a resolution signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The prime minister announced the decision to extend the current vehicle inspection system on February 25. “From March 1 in our country it was supposed to introduce electronic diagnostic cards, photographic recording, launch other procedures that affect the work of the profile business. As in any business, at the initial stage, all sorts of overlaps are inevitable. For example, uneven load distribution, queues. In conditions when the situation with coronavirus, although improving, is still far from ideal, this carries certain risks, including for human health. I think we should not allow this to happen, ”Mikhail Mishustin said.

In the current situation, it is necessary to postpone the introduction of the new procedure for technical inspection until October 1, the head of government emphasized.

The decree, signed by Mikhail Mishustin, extends the validity of diagnostic cards until October 1, 2021, which expires from February 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021. Thus, motorists will not need to undergo a technical inspection, since the diagnostic cards they received earlier will be automatically renewed.

Mikhail Mishustin instructed the ministries and departments to do everything so that by the scheduled date the new system would work without interruptions. “There shouldn’t be any inconveniences for citizens. There are millions of car enthusiasts in our country. Everything must be done humanly, ”the Prime Minister emphasized.
