Modern and modernized infantry fighting vehicles will go to the formations of the Ground Forces. As part of the state defense order, the manufacturers will transfer batches of modernized BMP-2s, including those with a new combat compartment “Berezhok” and BMP-3, to subdivisions of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The upgraded BMP-2 with the “Berezhok” combat module is designed to transport personnel, increase their mobility, armament and security on the battlefield. As a result of the modernization, the combat vehicle is capable of firing afloat and on the move at any time of the day. BMP-2M with a Berezhok fighting compartment armed with a 30 mm cannon and a Kornet anti-tank missile system, in addition to an automatic 30 mm cannon, an automatic grenade launcher is installed.

The BMP-3 is distinguished by its high maneuverability, firepower and good armor protection. The versatility of the weaponry allows it to fight against various targets, including air targets.

The standard armament of the BMP-3 is a 100-mm gun – a launcher for firing guided and unguided ammunition, a 30-mm automatic cannon, a 7.62-mm PKT machine gun and a smoke grenade launch system. The front location of the engine compartment was replaced by the aft one – according to the “tank” scheme. Thus, the driver’s view is improved, the habitability of the internal volume is improved, the weight is more favorably distributed along the length of the car.
