The final stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing has come to the end in the Swiss Engadine. Army skier Yulia Stupak (Belorukova) became the first in the 10 km race and the third in the 30 km marathon, and also took second place in the overall World Cup.
Lieutenant Yulia Stupak (Belorukova) won the 10 km mass start in classical style at the final stage of the World Cup in cross-country skiing in Engadine (Switzerland), covering the distance in 25 minutes 13.3 seconds. Norway’s Heidi Veng came in second, 7.1 seconds back. Ebba Andersson of Sweden finished third, 8.5 seconds back.
On the final day of the tournament, Yulia Stupak took third place in the 30 km free style pursuit. Having run the distance in 1 hour 28 minutes 45.3 seconds, Stupak lost to the Norwegian Heidi Veng (1 hour 28 minutes 11.6 seconds) and the Swede Ebbe Andersson (1 hour 28 minutes 12.1 seconds).
We also note that Yulia took second place in the overall standings of the 2020/21 World Cup, gaining 1,079 points.
