Anti-aircraft gunners of the mountain motorized rifle formation of the Southern Military District (YuVO) from Karachay-Cherkessia departed to the air defense training center in Yeisk to conduct firing from the new Tunguska-M1 anti-aircraft gun-missile systems (ZPRK).

Within two months, the military personnel of the compound will improve the skills of reconnaissance, tracking and destruction of training air targets in various conditions, as well as their destruction.

For training, a unique air target simulator 9F881 will also be used, designed to visualize high-speed, small-sized and low-flying targets.

In addition, anti-aircraft gunners will have to fulfill the standards for deploying and making the complexes ready for use, work out the procedure for loading launchers, searching, detecting, conducting reconnaissance for air targets and classifying them according to the degree of danger.

At the final stage of field exercises with anti-aircraft gunners, tactical exercises will be conducted with live fire at air targets from the Tunguska-M1 air defense missile system, the Strela-10 air defense system and the latest Verba portable anti-aircraft missile systems.

In total, more than 300 servicemen of the Southern Military District take part in the field exit, about 80 pieces of equipment are involved.
