Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin plans to visit the Far Eastern Federal District again in the summer. He announced such plans following the results of meeting with members of the Government Commission on the socio-economic development of the region, which took place on March 15

It is assumed that, like last time, Mikhail Mishustin will be accompanied by deputy prime ministers and ministers on this working trip.

“In the summer, the Government will actively work in the Far East to see on the spot how the President’s instructions related to the development of this strategically important territory for the country are being implemented, and to understand what else needs to be done to improve the quality of life and improve the economic situation in the region,” he said. The development of the Far East is one of the priority tasks of the Government. Mikhail Mishustin’s working trip to the Far Eastern Federal District took place in August 2020. During the week he visited Chukotka, Kamchatka, Magadan and Amur regions. As a result of this working trip, a number of instructions were given.

In September, Mikhail Mishustin approved the National Program for the Development of the Far East, developed on behalf of the President.

The Prime Minister instructed the relevant ministries and departments to keep the work on the national program under constant control.
