Grants from the city budget will be used to provide assistance to terminally ill patients.
Two non-governmental medical organizations will receive grants from the Mayor of Moscow. Their owners will be the Central Clinical Hospital of St. Alexy of the Moscow Patriarchate and the children’s hospice “House with a lighthouse”. The corresponding decree was signed Sergei Sobyaninat a meeting of the Presidium of the Moscow Government.
So, the size of the grant from the Central Clinical Hospital of St. Alexis will be 60.75 million rubles. This will allow to finance palliative care in the hospital in the amount of nine thousand bed-days.
The children’s hospice will be allocated 106.9 million rubles, which will make it possible to provide inpatient care in the amount of 2,670 bed-days, as well as to carry out 14,000 home visits.
Palliative care will be provided to terminally ill patients who require symptomatic therapy, psychosocial care and long-term care.
