Bridges, transport tunnels, pedestrian crossings, embankments and piers, as well as fountains and monuments will be put in order.

Specialists of the municipal economy complex began to put in order the engineering structures of the capital, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for housing and communal services and improvement Peter Biryukov.

“With the onset of stable positive temperatures in the city, work began on the washing of engineering structures. By the end of April, we will put in order after winter about two thousand objects: bridges, transport tunnels, underground and overground glazed pedestrian crossings, embankments and piers, fountains and fountain complexes, monuments, ”said the deputy mayor.

The work includes cleaning and flushing of structural elements, concrete, metal and glass surfaces, railings, staircases and local painting.

“Monuments and fountains are washed by hand with neutral detergents that do not damage the surfaces; alkaline solutions will be used to wash tunnels and bridges,” explained Pyotr Biryukov.

Over 250 pieces of equipment and about two thousand workers are involved in the work.
