Employees of the operational headquarters of the national anti-terrorist committee in the Pskov region, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Pskov region and the regional administration, dealing with the identification, prevention, suppression and disclosure of extremist crimes, held a lecture for cadets on countering extremism at the Pskov branch of the academy.

Alexander Katushonok, deputy chief of staff of the NAC operational headquarters in the Pskov region, told the cadets about international terrorism, the national system of countering terrorism, responsibility for crimes and offenses in this area.

The cadets learned about the legal and organizational aspects of countering extremism from the head of the department for ensuring the activities of the anti-terrorist commission of the Office of Special Programs of the Administration of the Pskov Region, Zaur Aliyev, and a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Pskov Region.

The lecturers are sure to confront the real threat to the national security of the Russian Federation – extremism and its extreme form – terrorism, it is possible only by joint efforts, and they see the cadets as assistants in the fight against world evil.

Dmitry Alekseev, deputy head of the Pskov branch of the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, noted that special attention is paid to the prevention of extremism and terrorism in the Pskov branch of the Academy. Classes on this topic are regularly held not only with cadets and students, but also with employees of the educational organization.
