The construction of a multi-level transport interchange is carried out in three stages. In total, it is planned to build and reconstruct 9.7 kilometers of roads.

“A multi-level traffic interchange is being built at the intersection of the northern backup of Kutuzovsky Prospekt, Shelepikhinskaya Embankment and the Third Transport Ring in the Presnensky District of Moscow. It will provide unhindered traffic to the inner side of the Third Transport Ring and drive to the Moscow City business center through 2nd Krasnogvardeisky Proezd. In total, it is planned to build and reconstruct 9.7 kilometers of roads. The work includes the installation of overpasses and retaining walls, the laying of engineering networks and landscaping of the adjacent territory, ”he said.
The construction will take place in three stages. The work of the first stage has almost been completed, during which the reconstruction of Mukomolny and two projected passages – No. 4571 and 6680 took place.
“The second stage of construction covers more than two kilometers of roads and includes the construction of four overpasses: an exit from the northern backup of Kutuzovsky Prospekt to 1st Krasnogvardeisky Proezd, a left-hand drive to the northern backup of Kutuzovsky Prospekt from Shelepikhinskaya Embankment, an exit from the TTK to the northern backup of Kutuzovsky Prospekt, and exit from Shelepikhinskaya embankment to the northern backup of Kutuzovsky Prospekt, ”said Andrey Bochkarev.
According to him, it is planned to build two underground pedestrian crossings, as well as to arrange an additional span of a railway bridge. The specialists are going to complete the main work of the second stage this year.
In order not to restrict the movement of trains on MCD-1, it was decided to erect artificial structures as part of the interchange. Anna Merkulova, general director of the Mosproekt-3 group of companies, noted that the peculiarity of the new departure highway is in its passage along the railway and its location in the immediate vicinity of the tracks, and in the case of the junction of the northern backup of Kutuzovsky Prospekt and TTK, the actual covering of the Belorussky ( Smolensky) direction of the Moscow railway by the structures of bridge structures.
“The intensive train traffic on MCD-1 will be able to be maintained due to the use of the sliding method, when the superstructure is erected nearby and then moves to its permanent place through the technological windows on the railway,” Anna Merkulova noted.
At the final, third, stage of construction, work will be carried out to strengthen the bank of the embankment, build roads, sidewalks and pedestrian crossings.
